About Faithguard

I set up Faithguard in 2022 with a focus on helping faith organisations improve governance strategically, and on providing friendly and practical support to help charities work through the challenges you face. 

Before then, I worked for the Charity Commission for England & Wales for 14 years, including for four years as Head of Faith Charities Engagement from 2016 - 2021.  I then spent a year as lead consultant for faith charities engagement at 'Strengthening Faith Institutions'.  I have worked extensively with all of the largest, and many of the smaller, religious groups in the UK, as well as with all central government departments that work with faith groups.

My areas of specialism include safeguarding, financial management, working internationally and all areas of trustee legal responsibility.  I can also support your organisation with engagement with the Charity Commission, including where a charity is subject to a statutory inquiry.  

While I specialise in faith charities, I can provide support to any type of charity.
